Who We Are

Mike Winans is the Owner and CEO of Look Your Best Uniforms. He began his career as head of direct sales of uniforms, table linen and related industrial items for Domestic Linen in Chicago. After 10+ years, he moved to American Linen aka ALSCO, where he was responsible for all direct sales of commercial paper products to 475 Chicago Board of Education schools and for the direct sales of chef and corporate apparel and industrial mats to all of ALSCO’s existing restaurant and corporate accounts in the Chicago area.

With 20 years of experience spent focusing on developing the culinary and corporate apparel market, in 1998 Mike made the decision to start his own company and became an apparel distributor. His specialty is a custom line of chef apparel for the Executive Chef and Supporting Staff including vests, ties, bistro aprons, etc., as well as corporate apparel with distinctive logos.

Some of his clients include the Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant Group, Malone’s Restaurants, Arlington and Keeneland Racetrack Hospitality, St. Mary’s, St. Elizabeth, Stroeger Hospital, The VA Hospitals, Kendall Culinary College, and Art Institute of Chicago, Culinary Division.

We offer quick turn-around for digitizing your logo and having it embroidered on your selected apparel. All our chef apparel is directly from the manufacturer – Chef Revival, Chef Wear, Chef Works and Uncommon Threads. We offer top-of-the-line medical and corporate apparel in the leading brands – Cherokee, Hanes, Adidas, Van Heusen, Nike, Columbia, Bella, Gildan, New Balance, Pro Towels & Dickies.
